Dinosauria Volume 2: Monsters Down Under is a dark, synthetic soundtrack created for David Armsby’s animated film. It is the sixth collaboration between composer Ivan Duch and filmmaker David Armsby, accompanying a story set in the alien world of early Cretaceous Australia.
Where some previous Dinosauria scores leaned on live performance and intimate instrumental color, Monsters Down Under moves into a more synthetic, ancient, and otherworldly sound. The music is unsettling, dense, atmospheric, and built around textures that feel strange, hostile, and alive.
The album is suited for scenes of prehistoric horror, underwater mystery, dungeon exploration, alien landscapes, monstrous factions, magical events, and dark cinematic worldbuilding.
