Royalty-free Viking music · D&D

Music for the cold north & Norse battle.

Oars in dark water, a horn over the fjord, and the long quiet after the shield wall breaks. A curated set for raids and drakkars, for funerals and the firelit rest between — drawn from my Northlanders work. Press play to audition each one.

Royalty-free and cleared for streams, actual play, and published videos.

Questions about viking music.

01

What music works for a Viking or Norse campaign?

Lean on low male choir, frame drums, and bowed strings for the raids and the crossings, then strip it back to a single lonely melody for grief and the fire-lit aftermath. The set above moves between both — battle on the water and the long silence after — so a single session can carry the whole saga.
02

Is this Viking music royalty-free?

Yes — use it in campaigns, streams, actual play, videos, and podcasts under the license. Check the licensing page before publishing monetized work.
03

Where do these tracks come from?

Most are drawn from Northlanders, my Norse- and Conan-inspired catalog, and nearly all of them are free to use. “A Warrior’s Rest” is one of my most-played pieces — it’s in the set above.

Want more than the free collection?

Take it further with Foundry, exclusive tracks, and ongoing releases.

The free collection is a great starting point. If you run regular sessions — especially in Foundry VTT — Patreon gives you a bigger organized library, an exclusive module, stems, WAV files, and ongoing updates from $5/month.
