About this track

About Marshes of the Dead

I’m excited to share a unique musical piece, a request from one of my patrons - and my very own Dungeon Master - Rob. Always supportive and insightful, Rob envisioned a haunting soundscape for a Marshes of the Dead scenario.

Drawing inspiration from the eeriness of the Mere of the Dead Men in Forgotten Realms or the chilling Dead Marshes from LOTR, this composition has a touch of morbid beauty and an air of unsung histories.

But our musical journey through the marshes isn’t complete without a local inhabitant. A sorrowful Dryad calls this swamp her home, and her lament forms the soul of this track. The result is a two-part piece: one part painting the bleak, eerie ambiance of the swamp, and another part echoing the Dryad’s Lament, a poignant melody that tells a story of both loss and endurance.

Immerse yourself in the dense, foggy marshes and let the lament of the dryad guide you through this atmospheric exploration.

Licensing & Usage FAQ

Everything you need to know before using my music in your projects.

Is the music totally free?
Yes — free tracks are tagged as free and yours to use as long as you credit me as the composer. Check the license info page for proper attribution details.
How do I credit you?
Simply name Ivan Duch as the composer wherever the music is used — in video descriptions, credits screens, show notes, etc. Full attribution guide here.
What is royalty-free music?
Royalty-free means you pay once (or in this case, just credit me) for a license to use the music — not on a per-use basis. You're free to use it across multiple projects.
What rights do I get?
A non-exclusive license to use the music in your projects. You may not redistribute or sell the tracks as standalone audio files or albums.
What are Stems?
Stems are individual instrument tracks (brass, woodwinds, percussion, etc.) from a song. They let you mix the music to fit your scene. Stems are available for Patrons.
Do you offer exclusive licenses?
Yes. If you need original, exclusive music for a film, game, or other project, visit the commissions page. Terms can be tailored to your project's needs.
Can I use the music without crediting you?
