I’m thrilled to share that my next Sonic Adventures album will be a Grim Dark/Dark Fantasy album, as voted by my amazing community. This time, I’m drawing inspiration from the Sangwheel Chronicles, the incredible work of my friend and talented author, Marie Mullany.
Marie Mullany’s Sangwheel Chronicles is an epic fantasy saga set in a world where magic is real, and politics can be deadlier than any blade. In the first book in the series, the assassin Louis is ensnared in a web of intrigue and forbidden magic, tasked with thwarting a treacherous plot against the Empire. As the fate of Etendulat hangs in the balance, he must grapple with the moral dilemma of sacrificing an innocent for the greater good. The thrilling stakes and rich storytelling of “The Hidden Blade” make it the perfect backdrop for a Grim Dark/Dark Fantasy album.
Marie’s journey as a writer began at eighteen, but it was her deep dive into the world of roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons, Legend of the Five Rings, and Live Action RPGs that truly honed her world-building skills. Her passion for creating intricate, multi-layered worlds with dynamic societies and engaging plot hooks shines through in her stories.
Now, she’s re-emerged onto the writing scene, bringing her world-building expertise to her captivating narratives. Marie also shares her insights and passion for creating immersive universes through her YouTube videos, guiding others on their own world-building journeys.
