New Foundry Module Update + Taxonomies

Patreon

Hey everyone,

I just uploaded a new version of the Foundry module (3.0) with the first draft of a taxonomy system to better organize the library (now past 320 tracks!). This is an initial version, and the goal is to fine-tune both the categories and the output together with your help.

The new system sorts tracks into different taxonomies — things like moods, locations, actions, factions, and themes. On top of that, I’ve also started experimenting with a new idea I’m calling Scenes: playlists that merge multiple tags (for example, a mood + a location + an action) to create storytelling-oriented collections. The idea is that instead of just browsing by “peaceful” or “dungeon,” you could jump straight into something like “Your party rests at a tavern” or “You sail the open sea.” I’d really love your feedback on whether this approach feels useful and natural to you.

Some big questions I’d love your feedback on:

  • What do you think of the changes?

  • What do you expect from a playlist?

  • How do you use them during your games?

  • What would you like to see included?

  • Any other way in which you’d like my library to be organized?

I’ve also set up a new master file for my own use that makes updating my library across platforms much faster by using python scripts to automate the process. That means improvements can roll out more smoothly from now on, and bigger changes (like reorganization, website browsing, or easier downloads) are now much easier to implement.

Your input will be key in shaping how this evolves — any thoughts or suggestions are more than welcome!

Thanks for being part of this journey,

P.S. The free version, available to all through my Free Foundry module is coming soon as well.
